PACE INTERNATIONAL 

International Law Plus

In session 1, 2018, a new program, which forms part of LAWS452 / LAWS899 will be offered. Ten Macquarie Law Students will undertake a collaborative research project with ten law students and academics from Universität Hamburg (UHH), looking at the impact that Australia and The European Union have had on the development of universal environmental laws standards.

 

IMPORTANT dates:

Attendance at an interview, pre-departure sessions and the full dates of your in-country activity are compulsory requirements of PACE International. 

 

Application dates:                      28 August – 1 October 2017

Interview dates:                        9 – 13 October 2017

Pre-departure session:              Date to be confirmed. Will be held during Session 1, 2018. Attendance at the pre-departure session is a compulsory requirement of participation

In-country activity dates:         Monday 2 July – 13 July 2018 (2 weeks)

Participation in PACE International is dependent on your successful enrolment in your unit as activities are developed to accomplish on the academic requirements your unit. 

 

Activity Tasks

 

  • Complete full time work experience with an international organisation over 4-12 weeks.
  • Contribute to discipline specific activities relevant to your academic unit
  • Engage with and learn from an international organisation and community
  • Understand key social, ethical and business challenges in today’s world
  • Explore future career options
