Business France – Internship Opportunity

Business France is the government agency supporting the international development of the French economy, responsible for fostering export growth by French businesses, as well as promoting and facilitating international investment in France.  

The French Trade Commission - BUSINESS FRANCE in Australia offers French companies an extensive range of products and services including: information on the main opportunities and major players in each sector, sectorial monitoring, trade missions, market research, stands at trade fairs, business to business meetings, press releases etc.  

We are currently looking for an intern for 6 months (ideally) to mostly assist in market research and the scheduling of business meetings for clients. The candidate will be part of our Food, Beverages and Agriculture Department.


Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Look for new Australian partners for our French clients;
  • Set up business to business meeting programs;
  • Conduct studies, market research and analysis for the sectors of Food, Beverages and Agriculture in Australia and New Zealand;
  • Produce reports and sectorial monitoring for the department;
  • Assist in the organization of trade events
  • Work on database updating;
  • The intern will also participate in the other daily activities of the department.



ideally 6 months (full time or part time)  

Starting date: to be discussed between Business France and the candidate


Any particular fields of study or skills: Profile and Skills required:

  • Good business and interpersonal skills;
  • At ease at making cold calls to new businesses
  • Be comfortable with a French environment
  • An interest in international business and a strong working culture would be appreciated;
  • Interest in the department's sectors: Food, Beverages and Agriculture

Only students currently enrolled in an Australian University program allowing a voluntary unpaid work experience placement will be considered.
